• Look at what you are drawing
• Draw from a real object
• Don’t trace
• Use a guideline to make sure your drawing is the right size
• Keep the outlines light
• Include detail or leave out detail

What do you like about your observational drawing?

I like how I have added most of the details on my shoe, like the flowers in the right places.

If you were to do it again what would you change?

If I did it again I would make the person on it bigger.

My Creature is An Arctic fox

Some things I needed to consider about my creature: They like to sleep in a cozy hole, make them catch their food by themselves, holes to hide in, they live in the Arctic. Water for them to drink.

My enclosure has these special features for my pet: A little cozy bed/hole a tramp for getting their pouncing levels up, a swing, and some holes in the ground to hide in from predators. A seesaw to get them to practise catching their food in their own mouth.

What I am pleased about: About how my tree turned out and how I added the pastel to make a cool effect on it too. Also how I got the tule from home and made it look like big chunks of snow here and there.

What I have found tricky: Attaching the tule to the base of the trampoline with sellotape.  Also attaching the tree branch to my tree. As well as when I was painting trying not to get paint on the tule .

What I would like to improve:  Stabilizing my tree branch that snapped I while I was explaining what I made. I would also like to improve on adding a bit more detail and stick to one place at a time.

Big Fat Fluffy Cat

I see

I smell

I hear

I feel

I taste

Delicious birds hopping on the greenest grass tweeting happily.

Golden crumbed fish drifting out from the fragile kitchen.

A giant Labrador next door bellowing over the creaky fence.

I feel Like a harmless skinny little fluffy kitten.

Last night’s scrumptious chicken drumsticks stuck in my pointy teeth.

Im actually a BIG FAT FLUFFY CAT that’s ALWAYS hungry.

Camp Omatua

Drive-in Movie	River fun
The drive-in movie was AWESOME! We all enjoyed watching Paddington and seeing Mr Ford dressed in a waiter costume.	Brrrrrr the outrageously cold river was one of the places that K89 enjoyed most. I liked how we were able to go under a tree while we were tubing.
Here is a camp picture of me and my group for Omatua campfire kai. The stew and damper we made was delicious.	Man were the technology challenges awesome. My group and I got through about 4 or 5 of the tasks we were set.
YUM!!! Thank You to the parents for organizing the scrumptious afternoon tea at the river. Especially because we would of gotten hungry from all the swimming	This last picture is one me at the Puketapu domain with some of my friends. We were trying to weight the boys down HE HE HE.

MY MUM

My Mum is someone special because she does unique things. Last weekend she was very kind and let me come to the Haumoana market to sell some of her creations. I think her designs and creations are pretty cool!   She had made tutus (LOTS OF TUTUS). She is very creative, and as she says “take your time and you will get it right”. I feel sort of bad for her because she has to put all her money and effort into buying all the tulle to make her one of a kind, custom, Beautiful tutus. Her logo is the picture up top, for her community:   

She gets me, my sisters and brother treats when we have been good and been behaving. Because normally we misbehave at home. Me and my brother have a money competition, if we are good then we get 20c and then we save up for something.

If we're naughty, then we have money taken of us so really it an opportunity to be nice and earn it. My Mum was born on the 22nd of July and has lots of brothers and sisters too. My Mum has blonde hair with light brown streaks (she has dyed her hair lots of times). Also she has Blue eyes as Blue as the ocean with twinkling sparks in them after she blinks. The most thing I like about my Mum is that she loves ME!!
